So Much To Do...and only 7.5 months to do it in...

Well last week was a busy one to be sure, and this weekend was definitely the peak of business, but it was fun busy. Sarah came down and we did a lot of wedding talk, and she even convinced me to go dress shopping. I really did not think I would find a dress, I had what I thought I wanted in my head, even if I did not know where or how I was going to get it. I wanted something light and easy and fun, and I didn’t imagine that was going to be found on the dress racks of a wedding store.

Well we went to David’s Bridal first, and though we made an appointment, we did not end up going back; they were very rude :P. Then I called Alfred Angelo’s and was much happier with the response I got, when we got there I met my new dress consultant, Brittany, who was wonderful! I told her what I was looking for, and she came back with a few others as well. The dress I ended up falling in love with is not at all what I thought I wanted, but the jury is still out, I’m waiting on input from my family, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to be purchasing it in the near future. And the best part, other than the pockets, is that it is under $500!!!!

So I've also gotten some quotes on food, and I am not happy, but I think I found an alternative, one that is preferred and one that is my back up/last resort. And I still have some people who have not gotten back to me yet.

Photography is another issue on my plate right now, and I have two possible options. I was talking to one of my co-workers, and he says that his son had a photographer that didn’t do any of the editing and such on the photos, allowed you to keep full rights to the pictures, and just put them on a CD for you. That is my cheapest option right now. I have another inquiry out for pictures, and I should get a reply today, if not, I’ll send her a poke.

Well, I admit I'm a little weddinged-out right now, so we are moving on.

Today was Weigh in and also Measurement updates so here we go:

19 Sept 118 Aug 11
Weight195194.6
Chest42.441
Waist4039
Hips4342
L.Arm1413.5
R.Arm1413.5
L.Thigh2626
R.Thigh26.526.5

So that’s .4 lbs difference, from last month, but given the weight gain I had between now and then, I think I did good. Though I did gain back .6 lbs from last week, I’m giving myself some slack given last week’s events. Totaling up the inches, that 4.4 inches lost total, which I’m pleased with. My next measurement day will be Halloween, and I’d like to be down a bit more than .4lbs by then.

I also have this week’s schedule worked out, as well as next month, since this is my last week on the day shift.

19-23 September Schedule

Monday (1600-1700) - BBF Spinning
Tuesday (1600-1700) – BBF Weights
Wednesday (1700-1800) – BBF Body Blast
Thursday (1600-1700) – BBF Circuits
Friday (1600-1700) – BBF Kickboxing or (1715-1815) Spinning

Well Night Shift starts on Saturday, and I don’t know if I explained this already, but when I’m on the night shift, I just can’t make it to my BBF Classes, and so since they are awesome, they just put my account on freeze, till I come back in November. So I’ve worked out a schedule for night shift, and I hope it works:

Night Shift Schedule

Monday – Cycling [30 Minutes] & Nike Training Club [NTC] Ab Burner & Back Definer [30 minutes]
Tuesday – NTC Wipe-Out Work Out [30 Minutes] & Walking [30 minutes]
Wednesday – Cycling [30 Minutes] & NTC Arm Definer & Shoulder Ripper [30 minutes]
Thursday – NTC Wipe-Out Work Out [30 Minutes] & Walking [30 minutes]
Friday – Cycling [30 Minutes] & NTC Butt Buster & Leg Sculptor [30 minutes]
Saturday – NTC Wipe-Out Work Out [30 Minutes] & Walking [30 minutes]

Also, I know I mentioned last week, how much my shoes were bothering me, but the thought of spending a lot of money on a new pair of shoes, heck the idea of spending any large amount of money bothers me… so I was putting it off. Well I talked to one of my instructors last week [Friday] after my first Spinning class, and she told me about SofSoles, orthotic inserts which she loves, and they are only about $30, half as much as buying a new pair of shoes! So I’m going to find me a set and go with those, hopefully before next week!

Well it’s an exciting time, and it’s just going to get more so…so hold on and off we got!

Officially Official

Well, I know I said I would give a blow by blow on the whole proposal story, but to be honest, I'm a little worn out from telling and re-telling the story, and I know I'm not done yet.

But, I have the RING! Its official as of yesterday morning at roughly 4:30AM.

That being said I think I was totally justified in going a little crazy on my food. It wasn't anything super fancy, that's just not us, we went to Chili's when I got home, had a nice dinner a few margaritas and a totally awesome ... you know how easy it is to be distracted by a shiny diamond... Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake... that's actually what put me over the top, I was good on the rest of my food choices.

I've started figuring out the total amount of calories I burn vs the calories I consume, which includes my resting metabolic rate [RMR] which I calculated at THIS site. So I'm estimating my RMR is at 2615 as per the site, and to loose 1-2 lbs a week you need to burn 500-1000 more calories than you consume. I've started a spread sheet [I like spreadsheets] to see how I'm doing. Even with my big fat dessert yesterday I still burned 601 calories more than I consumed. So I feel like I'm still on track, I actually have been pretty consistent with burning more than 500 calories as opposed to my intake.

Well this morning started off well, since I won't be able to make my 1600 class, I woke up at my normal time and went to the early morning class. I really do like working out in the morning, I feel refreshed, awake, vibrant and so sexy :) and that just carries me through the day so much smoother. I didn't even get frustrated with the traffic that I ran into heading from class to work :). I can't wait till my 9-6 shift when I'll get to do the morning classes for a whole month :).

Well today's our Lady's Lunch, which can sometimes be a real challenge, but I've gotten better. The worst is when we go to the Italian place with bread .... the most evil of carbs ;). I'm hoping for shrimp tacos today actually, but we'll see what the consensus is.

Everyone have a great day! I know I will :D.

12 September 2011

Monday - Weigh Day

I admit, I cheated - I told my self I wasn't going to get on the scale between weigh days...but after working out most every day last week, I really wanted to see if it had any impact. I was happy with the number I saw on Saturday, and even more so today.

194 lbs even, from last weeks 196.8 - So that's another 2.8 lbs down!!

I'll take measurements next week, so we'll see where I stand then.

I think its time

My feet are killing me....

I walked 3.77 miles in an hour, go me! But my feet hurt so bad, not even from eventual soreness either. I've known I needed to get some new shoes, but this has really reinforced it, last walk I got a blister, this walk my feet hurt, and my knees and hips hurt more than I think they should have.

So I am going to start shopping for shoes in earnest. I would like to get a pair that I can use for both boot camp class and walking, I'm not a big fan of single purpose purchases.

After that this morning, I really don't feel like doing anything else today. I'll probably clean up...eventually, but right now I'm gonna bum and recover.

10 September 2011

Here comes the weekend

Well Rich isn't home this weekend, so heres what its looking like:

Lots of cleaning up
Lots of sitting around bored
Hopefully good food choices

To alleviate my boredom I might go see a movie, there are a few I want to see: Crazy, Stupid Love - Rise of the Planet of the Apes - The Help... actually I think I'll go see Crazy Stupid love since it is still out :).

Well I really feel bad for not going to work out yesterday morning, and I'm not sure the extra sleep did me much good...but I figure I've been really good all week, worked out almost everyday. I've got Power Bootcamp in a half hour, and I plan on going either walking or cycling tomorrow [if I get my tires aired up].

Today is the 6 week weigh in at the Boot camp, and I haven't gone in so long, I've juts been keeping my own measurements. If I go on a six week schedule like they do, I'm not up for measurements till the 22nd. I was thinking about this yesterday and again this morning looking at the measurement sheet they have...

I think I'm going to keep this private for right now, though I do need to start taking pictures :), and once I hit my goal weight, I'm going to actively start working on my % body fat, cause that's one measurement I can't do on my self.

Well that's all I have for today :)

08 September 2011

Lazy food choices...

Well yesterday was Rich's last day at home, so I skipped my extra class to spend the last few hours with him. Got home and we started talking about dinner, at first we were going to go to Chili's, but we decided to order in from Papa's Pizza for monetary reasons.

The reason I didn't cook is cause the only protein I have in the house right now is Pollock which turned out really bad the last time I cooked it...all together un-happy with those results and not wanting to revisit them.

After I calculated the calories and such...I felt terrible, in retrospect, we should have gone to Chili's...then at least I could have gotten a salad. You know what I did though, I went to the office and worked out hard for 30 minutes and I felt better and I regulated some of my nutritional overloads from the Philly Cheese Steak Sub ... yeah I know, really bad choice.

Well today, I have to do a bit of rescheduling since the ships didn't start till 7 and I won't get out of here till 4 [when my class starts]. So I'm going to the Body Sculpting Class instead of the regular Circuits class, its a speciality class, and they tend to work you a bit harder, so I'm excited. Tomorrow will be a little screwed up too, but I've got a plan for that one too, I think I already mentioned that I'm switching to the 9-6 for just tomorrow. Well there is an early morning class, so I'm going to be up early for the 5:15 class, and then treat myself to a healthy omelet from IHOP across the street since I'm gonna have some time on my hands before I have to go to work.

Thank goodness I get payed tommorow :).

BB Every one!

Hump Day

Well yesterday was a little busy, not hectic, just a constant stream of stuff to do - three ships at dock will do that. I went to class today, without giving into Rich's puppy dog eyes begging me to come home - HA I win! It was a good class, we did a lot of upper body; there was this one circuit that was about ready to kill me:

With a parter we took a medium tension resistance band and stretched it between us, holding our arms out to the sides and pulled back to activate our biceps, and while we held that we did bicep curls with the other arm...and then we switched.... we did that three times.

As always I felt good at the end of the class, worn out and sweaty but accomplished and sexy :). Today I would normally go to the later 5:15 class, but it's Rich's last day at home, so I'm going straight home and we are gonna do some house chores, and probably some snuggling...he is leaving me next shift to go see his dad, so I got to get all the snuggling in. Even though there won't be any class today, I think I've set a good precedance this week: a 30 minute walk on Monday and a Boot camp class yesterday, two more classes this week. I might have to change up my Friday schedule because one of my co-workers wants to switch shifts, and I'm a nice person :).

Well Happy Hump Day Everyone!

05 September 2011

Yay for Labor Day

I forgot to turn off my alarm for work this morning so I rolled over, turned it off, and at the same time decided to turn off the 4:45 alarm for my BBF workout...I just did not want to get up yet. Instead I decided to go with a natrual wake up, my body woke up at 7:39 this morning and so I very happily got out of bed and began to meander around. I gathered up all my cycling gear, ready to hit the road.

Well I got to the end of the block and discovered that my tires were flat...After putting the bike up I debated on doing an inside work out or going for a walk. Seeing as how it is still very nice outside, which is a rare blessing, I changed shirts and hit the pavement.

It was a good walk, I now know that I am only about 1 minute shy of a 15 minute mile, that's something I would like to work on. I walked 2.05 miles in 34:14 minutes, averaging 3.6 mph and burning 254 calories [go Runkeeper].

I also tried a new recipe for breakfast: Protein Pancakes

Now I'll honestly say they are not very tasty by themselves, but I topped them with a tablespoon of Peanut butter divided between the two and Light agave nectar syrup and 1/2 a banana sliced.

So that came out to a breakfast of 325 calories and 20.8g of Protien! so that should keep me going for awhile :)

Well even though today is a holiday, it is still Weigh Day, and here are the results:

196.8lbs as compared with last Monday's 198.8 lbs ~ So that's 2 whole pounds down!

Something I have decided - I am not going to get on the scale between Mondays, my weigth fluctuates too much during the week and it can be depressing, but looking at it on a weekly basis is much more uplifting.

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Yay for long weekends!

Crash go boom

Well I had 3 hours in the morning during which it was a great day, at 7:05 the one ship that was suppose to be an easy one went to pot. It was one thing after another and it just did not stop until 2:25 when the damn ship finished.

Then I discovered that the Zumba class I had so been looking forward to had been canceled some time ago...totally missed that.

So I came home and indulged in too many drinks probably, but not terribly so.

Then yesterday I was a total bum, I sat around and did absolutely nothing but eat and drink...I have really got to find some activities to do on the weekends.

Oh well... I'll make it through.

02 September 2011

Early to bed, Early to rise

I haven't felt this good in the morning, with out copious amounts of caffeine, since I started the 6-3 shift ... which was Monday :). I went to bed almost an hour early, after having gotten my lunch packed, cloths set out, and my gym bag set aside so I wouldn't forget it. I'm awake, at work, with out the assistance of coffee and I feel good!

Its Friday, I only have one ship to baby sit, I'm looking forward to my first Zumba class, and Rich will be home in 2 days and 2 hours; Life is good.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
So Update from yesterday, like I said yesterday, it wasn't a great day in terms of diet, but it wasn't terrible either.
Breakfast:
1 Scrambled Egg & 1 Scrambled egg white [this is becoming a staple for me]
1 non-fat greek yogurt mixed w/ Crystal Light Green Tea Peach Mango and 1/8 cup of Bare Naked Granola [next time I'll have to get some plain granola, but the banana goes okay with the peachiness]
1 cup Light OJ
1 Cafe Mocha [major cheat, I was a little frightened by the stats on this drink]
Lunch: it was Ladies Lunch today so .... yeah
Chips and Salsa [of course]
2 Chicken Quesedillas
1 serving Charro Beans
1 Serving Mexican Rice
Dinner:
I made a mini skillet meal
Johnsonville Chicken Sausage Chipotle Montery Jack Cheese
Yellow squash
Zucchini
Desert: I know I shouldn't...
Skinny Cow Carmel Cone
Even though I was tired and didn't go work out, the mini work out from Fitness Magazine was very nice, and reminded me that my quads are still super sore from Wednesday :)
All in all, I didn't do terrible, didn't even go over any of my nutrition goals.
1678 Calories [1726-1976]
51.6g of Fat [44-73]
91.9g of Protein [99-164]
202.1g of Carbs [151-220]
01 September 2011
Sleepy
Goal for today: Go to bed early
Well I'll do my full update tomorrow, but I think even with a not so good lunch which was some where between 800 & 825 calories, I did pretty good. Even though I didn't go to class, I did a mini work out here at home which I was pleased with.
And now I'm going to go recline for a while in bed before turning in :)
Cafe Mochas are not cheap....
All right, first things first, update on yesterday.
I did good food wise, and I'm almost done with all the unhealthy left overs [I just can't waist food...]
Breakfast: I'm trying Greek yogurt, see below for some awesome additives to it!
Chobani Vanilla Greek Yogurt
w/ 1 slice of a frozen peach, and an 1/8 cup of Bare Naked Gronola
Low fat milk w/ Protein Powder
And of course Coffee when I got to work
Snack: Pam brought Shipleys, and I couldn't help it
Sausage and Cheese Kolache
Coffee
Lunch: Leftovers
1/2 Chicken Fried Steak
Healthy Cheesy Brocolli and Rice
A Peach
Snack: Eaten in the car on the way to errands
Banana
Nature Valley Gronola Bar [1 bar]
Dinner:
Yum Salad
*Lettuce
*Cherub Tomatoes
*Red Onion
*Boiled Egg
*1/4 Avocado
*Sunflower Seeds
*Tuna
*Salad Spritzer
Desert:
Skinny Cow Chocolate Fudge Cone [Yum]
I went to class and burned an estimated 504 Calories [WHOOP]
1934 Calories [2109-2359]
76g of Fat [57-86]
102.1g of Protein [128-193]
221.8g of Carbs [189-258]
So I feel good about it :)
~~~~~~~~~~~

So yesterday I went and did a few wedding things.

I went and checked out a possible venue, the Bienville Social which is in the Strand District in one of the many old buildings. I'm really feeling it right now, though I've previously looked into renting a beach house for the reception. Though it would be nice, I've only found one place that will allow large gatherings, and it is nice, but I'm just not sure about the size. Also it is on the far side of the island and I'd be worried about people having to get back to their hotels.

So I have some options.

So after that I went and saw Don, since my ring is picked out and we are just waiting on Rich for that, I figured it was my turn to go and do some ring shopping for him. I officially love Don, he is just such a nice guy and they have some awesome jewellery there, I mean I'm not really into a whole lot of sparklies but this stuff is nice!

So as I was saying I was doing shopping for him...not me... I found this ring with the chain in the middle which I thought was really cool, though I was trying to find something that had a similar design to mine with the wave in it. But the main thing is I like the material, its Titanium and super light, so Rich won't have to be annoyed by a heavy ring :P.

So right now I'm googling around to see if I can find a design I like any more: standby.

Okay So this one I like for its simplicity, but a bit unique since it bevels out instead of in, which is kinda cool.

This one kinda has a wave thing going on, I think I like the polished better than the brushed.

I'm actually really liking this one, sorta has a wave theme, but more to the point its two lines wound together, so kinda like the theme of my ring interlocking with the engagement ring, this one is us wound together. :)

So now the trick is going to be getting him to pick one...I know he doesn't really care, and just as soon not wear a ring, but I want him to have one that he will not mind wearing and which looks nice. So I will let you know how that goes :)

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay getting back to my Greek Yogurt from the top. This morning I would like to send out a salute to Hungry Girl; some time ago in one of their emails I read something about mixing Greek yogurt with one of the mini drink packets from Crystal Light. I finally got around to it, and let me tell you DELICIOUS!! I mixed it with the Metabolism: Green Tea Peach Mango, and it was AWESOME!!! Add a bit of granola to give it some staying power, that and a scrambled egg+egg white and I haven't had to snack yet!
Well this afternoon I was suppose to go to my normal 1600 Circuits class, but since the ship didn't start till 8, and I didn't have to be in here till 7 [yay for sleeping in] I won't get off till 1600 so I'll have to go to Kickboxing after all at 1715...
That means though that I'll have some time before class to go shopping. I'm gonna stop at the Academy and see about some free weights, maybe some more work out cloths, and just general shopping.
Speaking of shopping, yesterday I decided that I really needed to get a new pair of shoes...so I've found some on Zappos, and I'll just have to go back and seriously start looking. The ones I have are good enough for yard work and cycling, other than that... no bueno...
Also if you take a look at my tracker down here, you'll see that I'm down 3.6 lbs since Monday, WOOT!!
Well I'll be back later :)
